Headteacher Welcome

Dear Parent/Carer

(Covid 19 We would like to reassure our parents and prospective parents that the school is following guidance from the DfE and Government to help reduce the transmission of the coronavirus and is actively trying to minimise the risk to our pupils, staff, parents and visitors. A risk assessment has been carried out for the school and this is regularly reviewed as guidance is updated. The school works closely with North Tyneside Council and their Health Protection Team. Sept 2021)

We hope that the following information may be helpful to you in reaching the important decision as to which school will best meet the needs of your child during the early years of their education. Cullercoats Primary School is situated in the south-east corner of North Tyneside, adjacent to picturesque Cullercoats Bay.  It is very close to the Cullercoats Metro station and on several bus routes.| Our Staff, here at Cullercoats Primary School, are committed to providing the very best for your child. We recognise that starting school for the first time or changing school is a very important step in your child’s life. We all understand that it is both an exciting and anxious time for your child and for you, as parents and carers. The Staff and Governors want this step to be as happy and problem free as possible. With this in mind, this website has been prepared and aims to give you the information you require and need to support your child. If you have any concerns, no matter how trivial you think they may be, please do not hesitate to contact the school or pop in and speak to myself or one of our administration team. We will be more than happy to assist and find you the help you need. No website can possibly give all the information you require with regard to the ethos and environment of a school.  You are, therefore, invited to visit Cullercoats during the school day to experience the happy atmosphere which exists and observe some of the activities being pursued.  You will then be able to make a judgement as to the qualities of the school and the opportunities and experiences we have to offer your child. Yours sincerely Gavin Storey – Headteacher
