Parents Association

For many years Cullercoats Primary School has been supported by a very active Parents Association who work hard to raise additional funds to enable the school to purchase special resources which enrich the curriculum and benefit the children. In recent years money has been raised to help to provide interactive whiteboards for the classrooms, school playground facilities, an outdoor garden and mobile ovens for classrooms. Last year we have made a contribution to the OPAL (Outdoor play & Learning) Scheme which benefits all the pupils in the school. We have also purchased a number of new books and funded a theatre company to come into school and perform a Christmas Pantomime which every child in school attends. Each year we also fund two annual travel passes for the Tyne & Wear Metro which are greatly used to enhance the children’s learning in the local community and beyond.

The Parents Association is a Registered Charity, which brings added benefits such as extra donations from local companies.

Each year the Parents Association organises a variety of events which include Cake Sales, School Fayres and Discos. We are always looking for new fund raising initiatives and welcome new members with fresh ideas. Our work is not solely aimed at raising money; we like to provide fun activities for children and their families at our events.

The Parents Association is a very welcoming and friendly group and we are always looking for new members. We meet informally on an evening once or twice each term. If you would like to find out more about us, become a member or add your name to the list of helpers for future events, please contact the school office who will forward your details to the committee.

Kind regards
The Parents Association
